Written by Stephen Monk Illustrated by Natalia Starikova
Dr. Dreams is on his way to a cupcake party when he comes across a young bear cub named Jojo and her family. Jojo is scared because she’s been having bad dreams. Dr. Dreams comforts her with some special insight into dreaming. He tells Jojo a personal story about his own nighttime experiences with dreams. Then he encourages her to use the skills he’s learned.
Here is a tale as sweet as the cupcake that Dr. Dreams has on his mind. Dr. Dreams celebrates family, dreams, sharing and learning helpful skills.
When Stephen Monk’s ten-year-old daughter asked him to write a book involving dreams for young people, it took him a few years to see the request through. But he did!
This story is based on his own experiences and what helped his curiously active young mind when he was growing up. Monk has been an avid student of the mind and body for decades and has received many certificates and diplomas in the mental health fields. He is currently taking psychology and philosophy at university.
